Girls Introduction to Hockey

For the 2018-2019 season the Norwood Nuggets are offering a girls only Introduction to Hockey Program. The program is open to girls born 1/1/2005 – 12/31/2010. This program is geared for girls that have little to no skating or hockey experience.

The Introduction to Hockey program will run for 13 weeks (12/2/2018 – 2/24/2019)

Time:              7:00 – 7:50 PM (Sundays)

Program tuition: $100                                  (REGISTER HERE)

Sessions will follow the American Developmental Model (ADM) www.admkids.com where the girls will be moving from station to station focusing on skating skills, hockey skills, and small area games. The small area games are geared to meet the skill level of the participants. This format will allow the girls to develop their decision making, puck handling, and skating skills in a fun non-intimidating environment.

The following equipment is required:

• Hockey Skates
• Hockey helmet with full faceguard
• Hockey gloves
• Shin pads
• Socks
• Hockey pants
• Elbow pads
• Shoulder pads
• Ice Hockey stick

A jersey will be provided.

The program has a limited amount of equipment available and will be given out on a first come first serve basis.

Volunteers both on and off the ice are needed. All on-ice volunteers must formally register as coaches with NNYH and www.usahockey.com before stepping on the ice.
