BOARD
OF DIRECTORS NOMINATIONS
Norwood Nuggets Board of
Directors and Officers are volunteer positions which need to be filled
annually. The Directors and Officers are
voted in at the last General Membership Meeting of the 2007/2008 season. Directors and Officers are expected to attend
monthly meetings, follow up on action items from that meeting, and in some
instances, participate in committee work.
All positions require a twelve month commitment. Please visit the Administration section of
our website (www.norwoodnuggets.org)
and click on the Board of Directors section, where all positions are
listed. Click on any position title to
obtain its description.
In accordance with Article V,
Section A of the Norwood Nuggets By-Laws, a Nominating Committee (listed below)
has been formed to accept Applications for Nomination to the 2008/2009 Board of
Directors. The By-Law states:
Nominating
Committee
A
Nominating Committee consisting of not less than seven (7) or more than twelve
(12) persons shall be appointed by the President, subject to the approval of
the Board of Directors, not later than February 1st of each year. In
making such appointments, the President shall, to the extent possible, appoint
interested persons who represent as many areas of interest within the
Corporation as is feasible. No more than one-third (1/3) of the members of the
Nominating Committee shall be members of the Board of Directors. The Nominating
Committee shall nominate candidates for Level Directors and for Officers of the
Corporation.

Whelan
If you would like to be
considered for a position, or if you would like to nominate another member for
a position, you may do so in one of three ways:
1.)
Contact any member of the Nominating Committee (Board Member contact
information is available on the website);
2.)
Submit an electronic Application for
Nomination which is available on the Norwood Nuggets website at the base of
the Board of Directors page in the Administration section;
OR
3.)
Submit an Application for Nomination in
writing and mail to Norwood Nuggets; Attn: Nominating Committee;
Please
submit all nominations by March 22, 2008.
