NORWOOD NUGGETS VOLUNTEERS

The Norwood Nuggets Youth Hockey Program functions solely because of the efforts of many volunteers. Understanding that serving in a Board position is a huge commitment; there are many other ways our members can help. Many have talents that could be shared or time that could be offered in smaller capacities.

Please take a moment to review some of the suggestions listed below and contact us if you would be interested in volunteering.

Ø Website Maintenance – includes maintaining the home page; updating rosters with player, coach and parent rep information; e-mail distribution blasts as needed; and various duties and they may arise.

Ø Norwood Nugget Newsletter – many of you may remember the days of the players receiving a printed newsletter a couple of times a year with updates for all the teams and any Program news. We often talk about bringing it back, but need someone to organize it. The website has become a great resource for much of this information for the adults, but the kids really enjoyed getting the Newsletter and reading not only about their team, but how other teams are doing as well.

Ø Merchandising - Organizing and/or maintaining the sale of Norwood Hockey apparel and merchandise.

Ø Sponsorships – We would like to use our valuable resources to help the Fundraiser recruit new sponsorships and enhance the Sponsorship Program.

Ø Norwood Day – We are always looking for volunteers to help organize and staff the Norwood Youth Hockey Booth at Norwood Day.

Ø Parents Nights/Dances – Work with our Activities Director on raffle prize recruitment and staffing for the evening.

Ø Misc. Events – Many events and activities may come up during the course of any season that we could always use some extra help with.

Ø Equipment Manager – Maintain and distribute goalie equipment from our storage facility. Purchase and distribute supplies to coaches at the start of the season and throughout the year as needed.
